In New Delhi, the BJP organized a 'Thank You Modi Ji' rally in north Delhi's Burari, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisions to resume land mutation in rural villages and eliminate mandatory no objection certificates for power connections in certain parts of the city. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva referred to these actions as a "Diwali gift" for those living in villages and unauthorized colonies, attributing their resolution to his party's efforts in engaging with LG VK Saxena. The respective long-standing demands were met after collaborative discussions with the MPs.

Sachdeva acknowledged the sensitive response from the Narendra Modi government towards the removal of departmental NOC requirements for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies, benefitting millions within non-conforming areas of Delhi. He also emphasized the reopening of property mutations in Delhi's villages after a hiatus of two decades.

Contrasting views were presented by AAP, accusing the BJP of taking credit for the Delhi government's initiatives and attempting to mislead the public. AAP highlighted that Delhi offers the most affordable electricity nationwide, questioning why none of the 22 BJP-ruled states provide free electricity.

Sachdeva addressed the challenges faced by elders unable to transfer their properties to children due to restrictions imposed by the Arvind Kejriwal government, which were reportedly lifted following BJP's intervention. Additionally, the need for DDA's NOC for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies was eliminated.

Expressing confidence in BJP's victory in the upcoming Delhi polls in February, Sachdeva assured that the government would extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households. The top priorities on the agenda include the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers. Sachdeva emphasized that no slum colony would be demolished without providing alternate housing under the BJP's administration. Additionally, he stated the commitment to ensuring a pollution-free Yamuna within a year through the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
